TEAM EI Colorado Vision: Every child and family served by EI Colorado has access to a primary provider in addition to a diverse team of early interventionists that possess expertise to build family capacity to support the child in everyday learning
Definition
An evaluator is one member of a multidisciplinary team (at least two members) who completes Early Intervention eligibility evaluations. The EI Provider Personnel Standards provide specific guidance for who can be an evaluator and the primary areas they are eligible to evaluate.
There are 15 programs contracted to provide EI eligibility evaluation services. Some of these programs, referred to as Early Intervention Evaluation Entities, only complete evaluations and do not provide EI services.
Guidance
Evaluation Entities are contracted to complete EI eligibility evaluations; evaluators should not communicate with families about EI services, including TEAM EI Colorado, the coaching practices, etc.
