Welcome to EI Fundamentals, the state-required training for new Service Coordinators (SC). SCs must complete this training within 90 days of being hired at the Early Intervention Broker (EIB).
Registration Instructions
The following information will be needed to register for EI Fundamentals:

Address
Phone number
Select “Creating Your PDIS Account” to create an account in the Professional Development Information System (PDIS).
Once the PDIS account is created, select “Searching for Course by Subject”. Choose “Early Intervention Colorado” in the list on the left-hand side of the screen under subject or provider.
Service Coordinators are required to take:
EI Fundamentals within 90 days of hire
The following are recommended for Service Coordinators:
Telehealth
Understanding the Extended Part C Option
Promoting School Readiness within the Extended Part C Option
EI Contact Notes
Family Rights and Procedural Safeguards (review when needed)
Click “Register” to select the course. Under “Learning,” go to “My Learning Transcript” to see the listed courses.
Once the training is completed, a certificate will be available. Users will receive an email with instructions to view your completed training and certificate. Users should upload the certificate to the Salesforce EI Data System.
If you have questions about signing up to access the EI Data System, please use this form and provide the details for the situation. Someone on the EI Data Team will help with this request.
Each of the 10 modules in the EI Fundamentals training will include some or all of the following information:
Notes: Information related to changes that have been made since the development of the training
Time: The expected time for the module. The entire training will take approximately 12 hours to complete. However, it can be completed over a period of several days or weeks. Check with a supervisor or trainer for guidance on how the modules should be completed
Task: This will indicate items that should be done before beginning the module, such as downloading documents or looking at websites
Suggested Learning Opportunities: These are items that may enhance learning and the implementation of concepts learned. Although many of these are not “state-required” activities, they may be required by the EIB
Troubleshooting Tip: If the training does not seem to be functioning well, it may be of benefit to use a different browser. This training was tested on Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Safari, but it may work better on different browsers, depending on the computer
Quiz Question Clarification: The changes in the Early Intervention system within the past few years may impact the answer to some of the quiz questions. These hints will help clarify and provide the correct answers
