Closing a Client Case

Article summary

  1. From the Client Case Details page, click on the edit pencil to the right of Status field

  2. Select the appropriate Closed Status

  3. Closed status of either Closed/Eligible or Closed/Not Enrolled

  4. Enter a date in the Closed Date

  5. Click Save

Note: Prior to closing a client case, the service coordinator should ensure that all pertinent information has been updated, including Transition information and service start dates, where applicable.

Note: When the user closes an EI Case with a Status of “Closed/Eligible” they will be prompted to enter a Global Outcomes Exit Rating (entered on the most recent IFSP) or indicate a reason why Exit Rating was not completed. Reason Exit Rating Not Completed: picklist options are:

  1. Child or family cannot be located

  2. Deceased

  3. Less than 6 months in Services

  4. No entry rating completed

  5. Moved within State
